English Corners!

One afternoon every two weeks, we do Corners in the English class!

In groups, the students rotate around the different corners, where they find games to learn English.

Some of them are: boardgames, Bingo, memory, pictionary and other vocabulary games. Sometimes, there is as well a reading corner.

Students learn English at the same time they have fun!

Oral presentation of the solar system planets!

This term, in Science (4th grade) we are doing the project of "The Universe". We have been studying the  solar system, the Milky Way galaxy, the planets and other celestial bodies like asteroids, comets and meteorites.

To learn about the different characteristics of the solar system planets, in groups the students looked for information in books and internet, and they designed a poster of a specific planet. At the end, each group did an oral presentation of their planet. They did a great job!

Potions for Halloween!

For this Halloween, our sixth graders have created potions to make someone invisible or to make them fly! They have used some magical ingredients, like spider silk and dragon scales. The students have also learned some verbs like chop and cut in the process.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

This week we have learned a lot of new vocabulary related to the festivity of Halloween. Also, we have done some Jack o' lantern crafts, pumpkins and other scary crafts! It was so fun!

However, last Friday something happened... Suddenly, the door of the class closed, and we had to use our brain and work in groups to solve different puzzles, riddles and enigmas to leave the class. The escape room was not easy, but we found the key to open the door at last minute!

Tarzan is visiting us today at school!

Tarzan lives in the jungle with all his animal friends. It's wild, it's fun and tax free. But, when Tarzan meets Jane, he realizes that his personal hygiene has to improve... Maybe the students of 3rd and 4th grade can help him!

The theater comes to school!

IPA Productions came to our school yesterday and performed Wanda The Witch, the story of a sorceress that needs to find some inusual ingredients in the forest in order to prepare a birthday cake for her cat, Felix. What could possibly go wrong? Watching it live was a lot of fun and our first and second graders enjoyed it very much!

Happy Halloween season everyone :)
