These past few weeks first grade students have been studying sea animals after reading Eric Carle's A House for Hermit Crab. Not only that, they have also learned the importance of recycling for these little creatures and they have even recited a new poem! It goes something like this:
I'm a little hermit crab
looking for a new home
my friends will join me
so come along!
