Science project: Vertebrate and invertebrate animals!

This term in Science (3rd grade) we have done the project "Vertebrate and invertebrate animals"!

We have studied the differences between vertebrate and invertebrate animals, the five groups of vertebrate animals that we can find, and the main characteristics of each one of them. Also, we have seen some examples of animals that are in danger of extinction and the reasons for this.

To acquire all these contents, we have worked in groups cooperatively to make a poster and an oral exposition of one of the groups of vertebrate and invertebrate animals. Also, we have done one Science experiment called "How do arctic animals keep warm?". Finally, to finish the project, we have done an "arts&crafts" activity... can you find the chameleons camouflaged in the paintings?

It has been so fun and we have learned a lot!

Science project: Ecosystems!

This term in Science (4th grade) we have done the project "Ecosystems"!

We have studied the biotic and abiotic elements of an ecosystem, how do animals adapt to their environment and the characteristics of the main ecosystems that we can find on our planet.

To acquire all these contents, we have worked in groups cooperatively to make a poster, a model and an oral exposition of one of the main ecosystems of the world. Also, we have done a couple of Science experiments!

It has been so fun and we have learned a lot!

Discovering the United States!

These past few weeks we have been studying the United States of America and some of its most recognizable traits. Their most famous monuments, their currency, their food... Last week it was the students' turn! They brought various objects and pictures about the country they are studying and shared it with their classmates.
